Domain Name Sales
It must be remembered that domain name sales are not just selling domain
names for its cool name appeal. A careful assessment of a domain's name
needs to be done not just to find out its real worth, but also to
attract prospective buyers to get a handsome price for that specific
domain name. There are several domain appraisers around, but the
corresponding service fee may turn out to be costlier than its market
value.
A major
factor to consider in raising the value of a domain name is
determining the quantity of voluntarily emailed bids to buy;
even if there have been not much effort yet to publicize the
domain name sales. This clearly indicates that some other people
obviously desire ownership of the domain name. The more
unsolicited offers there are, the better the possibility of
raising the value of the domain name.
A domain name may sound cool but this does not mean it commands
a cool price, too. |

Usually, shorter names get the better
mileage. But do take care with shortcuts such as substituting numbers in
place of letters or omitting letters for the sake of shortening names,
for example fitforyou.com should not be shrunk to fit4U.com. It is also
important to make sure that a domain name is correctly spelled. A
misspelled domain name would not have much chance in making a sale.
Moreover, hyphens are sometimes use for clarity, but too much does more
damage than good. All-the-best-clothes-for-the-40-something-woman does
not really have any worth at all. Also, while domain names with
extensions ending with .net might sound cooler than one that ends with a
.com, a .com extension fetches a higher price in the market of domain
name sales.
